THE FIRST ROMANIAN RESEARCH AND DOCUMENTATION CENTER ON IMMIGRANTS’ INTEGRATION IN ROMANIA

Romanian Asociation for Health Promotion (ARPS) together with Soros Foundation Romania have launched the first “Research and Documentation Center on Immigrants’ Integration” from Romania. The project aims to create and develop a research and documentation centre on immigrants’ integration, to create a multidisciplinary network of researchers and to publish studies on the integration of the immigrants.

 

THE TURKISH MIGRATION STUDIES GROUP

The Turkish Migration Studies Group (TurkMiS) at the University of Oxford is a platform for researchers, students and other stakeholders interested in migration issues in, from, and through Turkey and its neighbourhood.

INTENSIVE COURSE ON MIGRATION RESEARCH BY CHRISTIAN DUSTMANN
The Ifo Center for Excellence in Migration and Integration Research (CEMIR) offers an intensive course on migration research held by Christian Dustmann, University College London. The main topics covered are: 1) The migration decision, immigrants’ behaviour, and immigrant selection. 2) The second generation. 3) The effects of migration on the sending and receiving countries. Interested Ph.D. students and post docs in economics with a firm interest in the field of migration are invited to send their CV to Sabine Rumscheidt (rumscheidt@ifo.de) by 17 December 2012. Applicants are welcome (but not required) to attach one research paper of their own.
